Submissions of CPID claims made easy:

SAMA is fully aware of the frustration that doctors have with the delays in the payment of claims by the Compensation Commissioner for services to injury on duty patients. In many instances the delays are caused by inaccurate or incomplete claims. To assist doctors to complete these forms according to the requirements of the Compensation Commissioner, SAMA's Private Practice Unit has compiled a flowchart illustrating the correct claims process. It also contains a list with the contact details of provincial offices of the Department of Labour where doctors can make enquiries on COID claims. The flowchart is available on the SAMA website by clicking here

UPDATED PMB AND CDL LISTS AVAILABLE:

Updated versions of the Prescribed Minimum Benefits (PMB) and Chronic Disease Lists (CDL) are available on the Council for Medical Schemes website at www.medicalschemes.com.

The ICD-10 codes for the conditions listed as PMBs or CDLs are specified to the 4th digit level. The lists will be updated towards the end of August to reflect 5th digit level codes. This is the final update of the coding to reflect the complete ICD-10 codes for PMBs and CDLs.
