Avastin appears more effective than grid laser photocoagulation for BRVO

Researchers periodically assessed 84 consecutive patients (93 eyes) with slit-lamp OCT for two months after DSAEK. Donor lenticle thickness of 350 µm or less at week one had a 98 percent predictability of success in both attached and detached lenticles. Failed DSAEK eyes had a lenticle thickness of =350 µm at one week. American Journal of Ophthalmology, May 2009
